Hi, I’m Xinran! I grew up in Beijing, China, and have been based in the U.S. since 2019. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Information Science at the University of Michigan. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from The Maryland Institute College of Art. With a dual background in tech and visual design, I blend analytical and creative approaches to my design.

I bring extensive experience in UX and product design, including working as a intern at a large tech company, serving as a UX designer for mid-to-small businesses, contributing as a 0-to-1 product designer at startups, and applying my design skills to volunteer projects I’m passionate about. Currently, I’m collaborating with colleagues on a startup developing a product for lab note-taking and data recording. These experiences have allowed me to engage with multiple stages of the product lifecycle, sharpen my ability to address diverse design challenges, and adapt to various collaboration styles and project rhythms while working effectively with different teams.
